| Congratulations to all the participants of the Adidas May Classic in Bloomington, IN. this past weekend. There was plenty of great action and new players across the country that drew plenty of interest. Michigan did pull down one championship as The Basketball Workshop 17u group won the Bronze division by beating the Tennessee Edge. 6'4 Nate King (Utica Ford), 6'1 Nick Kosovich (Romeo), and 6'1 Kyle Hunt (Utica Ford) led the way. Common Bond had teams from the 17u, 16u, and 15u age brackets that advanced to the semi-finals of their respected divisions. More on their teams later... The MBA Select 17u combined players from SW Michigan and Northwest IN. and advanced to the Bronze Division semi-finals before losing to the eventual champion, Evansville Future. More on the Select players later... The Mustangs 17u team advanced to the Gold Division quarterfinals before losing to the runner-up, Indiana Elite-Orange. The Mustangs 16u squad advanced to the semi-finals of their gold division in a wild shootout with the Illinois Elite before losing, 103-101. More on these teams later... The Michigan Roadrunners 17u team played well when I saw them but, not well enough to make it out of the first day of the tournament on Saturday. Their big guy 6'6+ Zac Hueter (North Branch) loves basketball but, has drawn serious attention from the University of Michigan and Penn State for football. 6'3 Dustin Dibble (Petoskey), 6'6 Eli Redman (Bath), and 5'11 Dale Brundidge (Detroit Country Day) also stood out in early Saturday games. |

| Michigan Teams in Chicago By TJ Kelley/www.insideprepsports.net 5/29/07 Much of May has been good to Michigan teams, as the Basketball Workshop 17u and The Family 17u have given the Great Lakes State out-of-state tournaments wins. This past weekend added three more teams that now fall into the fold of winning. The Central MI. All-Stars won the Silver bracket of the Memorial Day tournament at Spiece in Fort, Wayne, IN. and the Mustangs 16u and 15u were champions in the Silver brackets at the Chicago Shootout.
