Detroit, MI.- Official visits often pay off and the trip for one Michigan point guard was beneficial for the Southern California Trojans.
Saginaw Arthur Hills’ 2010 5’6” point guard
Maurice Jones is often referred to as Michigan’s best pound for pound player,
if not the country. While exchanging
messages back and forth with ‘Mighty-Might’ during the USC-Washington State
football game, Jones accepted Trojans head coach Kevin O’Neil offer to attend
the Los Angeles-based University.
Continuing, Jones is dynamic with the ball in
his hands and has the ability to dish out double figure assists while scoring
thirty points, as he did at Spiece’s Run ‘n’ Slam in early May against a high
major Boo Williams squad.
Jones also had offers from St. Bonaventure,
Duquesne, Providence, and many other notable programs.
The PAC-10 is used to Michigan players that
are vertically challenged that have had success…Oregon’s 5’7” Tajuan Porter of
Detroit Renaissance ‘06.
