Michigan- The grime guys, the rally guys, the take a charge guys, the team leaders, the do it all guys, the David Kools, the Manny Harris', the Austin Thorntons, the Draymond Greens, the Jamar Raglands. Every team needs at least one and here's a list of players who are key to their team's success. A dozen Glue Guys:
6'2 2010 shooting guard Taron Boose (Saginaw) A transfer from Flint Beecher, he's a physical guard who brings big game experience to one of the state's best programs.
6'1 2011 combo guard Carlton Brundidge (Southfield) He rebounds, he scores, and has been the heart and soul for the Bluejays since he was a freshman. University of Michigan commit.
6'7 2010 small forward Mohamed Conde (Belleville) The rubber band man is long, vocal, and his gam starts on the defensive end.
6'5 2011 small forward LaDontae Henton (Lansing Eastern) "Buckets" does a lot more than score and he's sure to finish his junior year with another double figures in the rebound department.
6'5 2011 small forward Dennis Hogan (Detroit Douglas) The Junk Yard Dog of Detroit's Public School League bangs in the paint and is fearless in the paint.
6'7 2010 small forward Matt Kamienieki (Clarkston) He ranks among the best all-around defenders in the state and is a sneaky defender on the perimeter, who will take the charge in the post. Ball State University commit.
6'4 2010 wing Angelo Lewis (Detroit Cody) Lewis is a staple of consistency on either end of the court who owns opponents in the mid-range.
6'3 shooting guard Ryan Majerle (Rockford) His combination of basketball IQ and athleticism on the perimeter is a nightmare for the meek. Wisconsin-Green Bay commit
5'10 point guard Jorddan Myrick (W. Ottawa) His floor leadership, ability take care of the ball, and willingness to involve his teammates are reasons why Central Michigan will be set at point guard in the years to come.
6'4 2010 small forward Patrick O'Brien (Flint Powers) O'Brien's the reason why the "Glue Guy" was thought of as he takes charges, hits the big shot, rallies the troops, and has a championship ring. Saginaw Valley State commit.
6'7 2011 small forward Corey Starkey (Petoskey) A coach's son who leads by example either by wanting the to take the game-winning shot or by hitting the floor for a loose ball.
6'10 2010 center Shane Teimeyer (Zeeland West) He may not score in double figures, grab double digit rebounds, or block a handful of shots but one thing is guaranteed, he'll take a couple of charges and be there vocally to spark his teammates.
