Michigan- A look a some of the top unsigned division one recruits in Michigan and beyond. A group of high school seniors and post grad players some with offers and others still looking for their first division one offer.
6'4 small forward Thomas Bropleh (New Hampton Prep, MA.) Bropleh is a solid perimeter shooter with the size to guard taller post players. He won't wow you with his athleticism but has gathered offers from Northern Colorado, New Hampshire, and Denver University.
6'3" shooting guard DeAndray Buckley (Romulus, MI.) One of the state's toughest and smartest players has many mid major programs seeking interest with division two programs chopping at the bit. He'll mix it up for a tough rebound and then come around a curl on the offensive end to hit a three. He doesn't have a lot of flash to his game but he puts up numbers in every category.
6'5" small forward Yann Charles (Champlain St. Lambert, Quebec) He's a strong lefty that can guard the three and four on the mid major level. Charles can step out and shoot the perimeter shooter with the athleticism to finish above the rim. He has receptive hands and is a solid rebounder.
6'3" combo guard Omar Cobb (Antioch, TN.) Cobb played the two guard for the Tennessee Edge last summer but set assist records for Antioch High School. He's established himself at either guard position and has gathered offers or strong interest from UNC-Willmington, Northeastern, and Louisiana-Lafayette to name a few.
7' center Brandon Crane (Midland, MI.) He has Ivy League grades and is a true 7'. He's athletic and can step out to hit mid-range jumpers. He's more of a face up player offensively. A possible red shirt would help as he needs to hit the weight room, as he's just shy of the 200-pound mark.
6'2" point guard Ray McCallum, jr. (Detroit Country Day, MI.) Lil' Ray is the second highest rated unsigned point guard (Brandon Knight is #1) in the country and his list of offers reflect his skill.
6'1 combo guard Calvin Newell (Mack Academy, NC.) Newell exploded on the scene at the National Prep Showcase back in November and had offers coming out of his ears soon after. Getting up for alley-oops, knocking down three-pointers from well beyond the line off the dribble will get coaches and scouts to remember you. His list is down to Baylor, Connecticut, and West Virginia.
6'9" center Jarrell Pratt (Detroit Cody, MI.) One of the best passing big men still on the board also has receptive hands. He needs to stay in shape or he would have multiple offers. He's not an above the rim player but has some old school moves with his back to the basket.
6'4" shooting guard Cameron Solomon (Lovejoy, GA.) Solomon is a zone buster who is a constant concern for defenders. He's long and a solid defender with solid athleticism. He hasn't gone unnoticed as he has mid major offers. He put up big numbers in Georgia's state finals including a 44-point performance in the regional game.
6'5" wing Isaiah Sykes (Detroit Denby, MI.) "The Big Easy" is a stat sheet filler and has a build that's ready for any level of college basketball right now. He's smart and will take what the defense gives him rather than settle for the tough shot. Sykes is a lefty who has offers from Arkansas, Georgia, Michigan, and S. Florida.
6'5" shooting guard Trey Zeigler (Mt. Pleasant, MI.) A top 35 player nationally with high major offers and interest including an offer from Central Michigan where his dad EZ2 is the head coach. Zeigler has a lot of versatility to his game and can play the two or three with ability to relieve the starting point guard on the next level. He's athletic and if you don't know then you probably will not get him to commit to your program.
