Who’s Visiting and Recruiting Tidbits

Michigan- It’s that time of year again and with football games means visits and with the NCAA’s contact period starting September 9th means college coaches will swarm to open gyms to show love to the players they watched in July.  Inside Prep Sports is back with more information than ever so stay tuned to who’s visiting your school?

Michigan Players

 

6’5 2010 wing Chris Anderson (Muskegon Reeths-Puffer) is a lefty that can jump out of the gym.  He made the trip with Voss to Toledo and has gained interest from schools such as Southern Methodist, Dayton, Stoneybrook, Western Michigan, and Providence.

 

7' 2010 center Brandon Crane (Midland) just got back from making unofficial visits to Penn, Princeton, West Point, and Yale.  He'll return to Penn and Yale later this fall on official visits.

 

6’5 2010 small forward John Gaston (Detroit Douglas) is planning visits to Cleveland State and Central Michigan.

 

6'11 2010 center John Hawkins (Troy) made a trip to Goshen, and is scheduled to make visits to Columbia and Indiana State.

 

6’9 2010 power forward Lucas Holt (Spring Lake) has gained interest from the Citadel.

 

6’ 2010 combo guard Jeff Hoskins (Kalamazoo Loy Norrix) made an unofficial visit to Moorehead St. and then will visit Saginaw Valley St., Indiana-Weslayan, and Southern Illinois-Edwardsville.

 

6’5 2010 guard Jerry Jones (Inkster) is taking a break from the high school gridiron to visit Central Michigan and Northwood in September.

 

6’6 2010 small forward Cameron Metz (Northpointe Christian) reportedly has an offer from Idaho State.

 

Hoskins AAU teammate (Camp Darryl Basketball Academy) 6’2 2010 shooting guard John Srodulski (Mattawan) has the brains and is making or made trips to NYU, Dominican, and Washington Lee (PA.)

 

6’10 2010 center Nate VanArendonk (Grand Haven) made an unofficial visit to Central Michigan and has interest from Northeastern, Holy Cross, and Southern Methodist.  Vanderbilt is taking in an open gym later this month and Wake Forest may do the same.

 

6’8 2010 skilled four man Colin Voss (E. Grand Rapids) combines football and basketball skills and has offers from both sides.  He recently received offers on the hardwood from Pacific and Eastern Michigan.  He visited Eastern Michigan a couple of weeks ago and just made a visit to the University of Toledo this past weekend.  Ball State and Central Michigan have also offered.  Drake, Providence, and Southern Methodist are showing interest.

 

2011

 

6'1 2011 combo guard Carlton Brundidge (Southfield) has made unofficial visits to Michigan, Michigan State, Miami (FL), Ohio State, and South Florida.

 

6'2 2011 shooting guard Terry Buchanan (Kalamazoo Central) told I.P.S that he's taking unofficial visits to Central Michigan, Cleveland State, and Iowa.  He may go on more visits and has Dayton, Wright State, Oakland, South Alabama, Penn, Pacific, and Utah showing interest.

 

6’3 2011 shooting guard Ryan Majerle (Rockford) has an offer from Central Michigan and is taking in Saturday’s Michigan-West Michigan football game in Ann Arbor, MI.

 

5’10 2011 point guard Jorrdan Myrick (W. Ottawa) has an offer from Central Michigan and is taking in Saturday’s Michigan-West Michigan football game in Ann Arbor, MI.  Myrick and Majerle are backcourt mates for the Grand Rapids Storm 16u.

 

2012

 

6’8 2012 center Matt Costello (Bay City Western) will visit Michigan State this weekend for their game against Montana St.  The following week he’ll make a visit to the Big House and the University of Michigan to watch the Wolverines take on the Irish of Notre Dame.
